ELECTION PROCESS

Candidate nominations will open Monday March 16th, 2026, at 0900 hours.

Interested members must complete the Candidate Nomination form, which includes:

A short biography (maximum 2000 characters)

A photograph
-

Candidate Nomination forms must be submitted no later than Monday March 30th, 2026, at 1600 hours.

Late applications will not be considered.

All submissions will be reviewed by the current Board of Directors to confirm eligibility.

Approved submission will be distributed to the OFIA Membership on April 13th, 2026, to allow members time to review candidates prior to the election.

Elections will take place during the OFIA Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Printed copies of candidate submissions will be available at the AGM for membership review.

Elections will be conducted in accordance with the process outlined in the OFIA Charter.

If the number of candidates matches the number of available positions, those candidates will be acclaimed and no vote will be required.

If a candidate is unable to attend the AGM and voting is required, they may:

Submit a 30-second video, or
-
Join via Microsoft Teams to deliver a 30-second statement outlining why they are seeking the position.

Videos must be submitted no later than Friday, April 24th, 2026.

Election results will be announced during the AGM election process.

If results cannot be finalized during the AGM, they will be announced on the morning of Friday, May 1, 2026.
